Ah, summer. When I was a kid, summer was always the best time of the year; we slept late, played outside until dark, stayed late at the ball fields, and rode our bikes everywhere. It's amazing how quickly the years pass. When you are that age you can't wait to grow up, and now that I'm grown up, I would love to go back sometimes.
When the end of summer eventually comes, and it always does, there are the pressures of going back to school. I remember worrying about what I would wear the first day of school and forgetting my locker combination, and maybe getting lost, too. Getting used to new schedules and recognizing new people is only half of their battle. Did you know students are expected to stay awake, learn something, turn homework in, and pass tests, too? The horror.
